  3. It is the learner's duty to ensure that Assignments (whether sent via postal service or courier service) reach LeMark Training and Development's offices before or on the due date.
  4. It is the responsibility of the learner to confirm that LeMark has received their Assignments, with clear Certified copies of their Identity Document (ID) and Matric Certificate.
  5. Late Submission Fees: Due to the assessment, moderation and quality control timeframes as well as the additional administrative load & additional courier and postal costs, learners who submit their assignments after the due date will be charged a fee of R750 (VAT inclusive) for the assessment thereof, or the assignment will be returned unmarked and the learner will forfeit the marks.
  6. one-week extension will be considered in case of hospitalisation or the death of an immediate family member, in which case a doctor's note or death certificate must be presented to the LeMark Training and Development offices.
  7. Re-submissions/Re-assessment: Each learner is granted one attempt for re-submissions/re-assessment at no cost.
  8. When a learner is granted a re-submission they will have 14 days (weekends & holidays included) to complete their Assignment/PoE. Should they not meet this deadline they will have to book, pay and attend the programme/course at their own expense.
  9. If the learner re-submits the assignment on time, but is again found to be Not Yet Competent, they will be granted the opportunity to attend the course again at their own cost. A formal application to attend the course again must be lodged by the learner. Terms and Conditions apply.
  10. Time Frame for Submission of Assignments: Please note that it is the policy of LeMark that re-submissions/late assignments/PoE's will not be accepted more than six months after the due date of a course (Terms and Conditions apply – please refer to par no: 1,4,5,6).

  13. Your Own Work: Learners must take note that the work in the Assignment must be their own original work and they must complete the declaration of authenticity to pledge this.
  14. Due to the principle of authentication, electronic copies cannot be accepted. You will need to print, number and authenticate (sign) each page.
  15. Penalties for Copying & Plagiarism of Assignments: The copying of Assignments/PoE's as well as PLAGIARISM in Assignments/PoE's is strictly prohibited. LeMark reserves the right to penalise learners if copying takes place. Plagiarism/copying will lead to the learner's being declared not yet competent and they will have to attend the programme/course again and will have to pay the full fee for the programme/course again.
