Conditions for Submission of Assignments/ Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) :

 

Learners’/students’ (hereafter called Learners) Assignment’s/Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) (hereafter called Assignments) must be handed in on time. Submission dates as indicated by the facilitator must be strictly adhered to, and learners/students must note the following:

 

  1. No extensions will be granted unless a request is received in writing to LeMark Training & Development offices with a valid reason other than illness or death as stated in point 6 below.
  2. Class Attendance for Certification:  The attendance of the first day of class as well as a total minimum of 80% class attendance is compulsory in order to be eligible to hand in your PoE/Assignment. After the successful completion of this skills programme and the portfolio of evidence (PoE), learners will receive a certificate of competence.  Learners who does not hand in a portfolio of evidence, will receive a letter or a *certificate of attendance. (*Terms & Conditions Apply as per skills programme marketing letter)
  3. NB: If a learner requests a re-print of their certificate due to the loss of the original, a re-print fee of R850 Vat Inclusive will be charged.
  4. It is the learner’s duty to ensure that Assignments (whether sent via postal service or courier service) reach LeMark Training and Development’s offices before or on the due date. 
  5. It is the responsibility of the Learner to confirm that LeMark has received their Assignments, with clear certified copies of their Identity Document (ID) and a copy of their Matric Certificate.
  6. Late Submission Fees: Due to the Assessment, Moderation and quality control timeframes as well as the additional administrative load & additional courier and postal costs, learners who submit their Assignments after the due date will be charged a fee of R895 (Including VAT) for the assessment thereof, or the Assignment will be returned unmarked and the learner will forfeit the marks.
  7. A one-week extension will be considered in case of hospitalisation or the death of an immediate family member, in which case a doctor’s note or death certificate must be presented to the LeMark Training and Development offices.
  8. Re-submissions/Re-assessment: Each learner is granted one attempt for Re-submissions/Re-assessment at no cost, within a given time-frame of two weeks. No extensions will be granted for re-submissions.
  9. When a learner is granted a re-submission they will have 7 days (weekends & holidays included) to complete their Assignment/POE. Should they not meet this deadline they will have to book, pay and attend the programme /course at their own expense.
  10. If the learner re-submits the assignment on time, but is again found to be Not Yet Competent, they will be granted the opportunity to attend the course again at their own cost.  A formal application to attend the course again must be lodged by the learner, Terms and Conditions apply.
  11. Time Frame for Submissions of PoE/Assignments:  Please note that it is the policy of LeMark  that POE’s will not be accepted after one month of due date of a skills programme / course (Terms and Conditions apply – please refer to par no: 1,4,5,6). Late submission fee of R895 will become applicable 1 day after due date.
  12. Assignments must be completed in the format/structure indicated in the assessment guide and any incomplete Assignments will be returned at the learners cost, unmarked.
  13. No Assignment will be accepted when faxed or e-mailed. The learner must keep a copy of the Assignment/PoE.
  14. Your Own Work & No Fax or Emailed Assignments: Each learner must take note that the work in the Assignment must be their own original work and they must complete the declaration of authenticity to pledge this.Due to the principle of authentication, electronic copies cannot be accepted.  You will need to print, number and authenticate (sign) each page.
  15. Penalties for Copying & Plagiarism of Assignments: The copying of Assignment’s/PoE’s as well as PLAGIARISM in Assignments/PoE’s is strictly prohibited.  LeMark reserves the right to penalise learners if copying takes place.  Plagiarism/copying will lead to the learner’s being declared not yet competent and they will have to attend the programme/course again and will have to pay the full fee for the programme/course again.
  16. We request that you post your completed Assignment (the original, not a copy) to the following address. (Please be sure to keep a copy of your Assignment):
  17. Archive Documentation Retrieval Fee –Should we have to retrieve documentation from our archives in order to reprint or confirm certificates older than two years, a fee of R850.00 Exc VAT will be levied.

Scheduled Training Terms, Conditions and Disclaimer
Special Conditions:
  • Learners are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements, as well as incidental costs such as telephone calls, drinks etc.
  • LeMark reserves the right to postpone/ reschedule or cancel SCHEDULED skills programmes or courses should the number of bookings not justify the presentation of the event.
  • LeMark Training & Development’s liability in the event of a course/skills programme being cancelled or rescheduled will be limited to a refund of the event/course/programme fees, to learner/s, should they not be able to attend the new date.
  • We reserve the right to change the venue and the order of the presentation or if absolutely necessary to substitute a facilitator or presenter.
  • Prices and availability are subject to change without notice. Although we try to assure accuracy, LeMark cannot be responsible for typographical or photo error on our website, electronic and printed material.
  • An official booking form confirmation (LeMark Completed Registration Form) must be received from the Customer in order to reserve a place for all the LeMark Scheduled Training Programmes.
  • Prior to the receipt, acceptance and acknowledgement by LeMark of your confirmation/ booking (registration form/s), you will not be deemed as booked. (Please refer to Booking Procedure and Confirmation Instructions).
  • It is the responsibility of the Customer to enquire and confirm with LeMark should they not receive a confirmation from LeMark after they have submitted a registration form or payment for any training interventions.
  • LeMark is ACCREDITED by the SERVICES SETA as an institution delivering quality education and training: Provider Entity Number: 0149 Company Reg: 2010/002646/02 (was CK2001/025985/23).
  • Purchase Order: Supplying a Purchase Order is a standard requirement to conduct business with LeMark Training and Development, as we have aligned our internal process in accordance with the PFMA, MFMA and we are also governed by the Companies Act. Alternatively we do Cash on Delivery (COD) or Electronic terms of payment for this booking.
Admission Conditions
  • No bookings will be accepted if made without proof of payment or an official company order form. An electronic payment advice or copy of bank deposit slip will be accepted.
  • Payment must be deposited at least 3 working days prior to the event.
  • The organizers may refuse admission where evidence of payment cannot be shown.
  • Learners will be registered on a “first come, first served” basis.
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations will be accepted only if made in writing at least five working days before the course/skills programme.
  • Learners registering after the cancellation dates are also liable for the full fee should they cancel.
  • PLEASE ENSURE that you receive a cancellation fax/email with a cancellation number.
  • Learners registering and not attending will be liable for the full fee. Substitute learners are welcome but names must be advised on a company/department letterhead.
Booking Procedure and Confirmation Instructions Terms and Conditions
  • How to Book: You need to send us a fully completed & signed LeMark Registration Form and Clear Certified copies of your ID document & Matric Certificate. Without these documents we cannot issue your certificate., should you be eligible for it.
  • When you complete & submit a LeMark Registration form, you are making us an offer to attend one or more training courses and accepting thereby all the LeMark Terms & Conditions.
  • On receipt and acceptance of your Registration Form with a purchase order or proof of payment, you will receive a confirmation letter and Invoice by email confirming your participation in the training event. This will include a location map with directions and venue details as well as starting times.
  • An official confirmation (LeMark Complete Registration Form) must be received from the Customer in order to reserve a place for all the LeMark Scheduled Training Programmes.
  • Prior to the receipt, acceptance and acknowledgement by LeMark of your confirmation/booking (registration form/s), you will not be deemed as booked.
  • Bookings will be confirmed only on receipt of written authorisation from your company e.g.

 

  1. The registration form/s  completed clearly;
  2. All signatures on registration form; and
  3. An official order form or proof of payment.

 

  • It is the responsibility of the Customer to enquire should they not receive a confirmation from LeMark after they have submitted a registration form or payment for training.
Certification

After the successful completion of this skills programme and the portfolio of evidence (PoE), learners will receive a certificate of competence.  Alternatively learners will receive a certificate of attendance if they do not wish to hand in a portfolio of evidence.

Re-issuee of Certificates Policy
  • Please note: Requests to re-issue certificates older than one year will be subject to the following process:
  • These certificates and their evidence/paperwork have been archived and it will take 2 – 4 weeks to request them from the archives.
  • On receipt of the documents from the archives, the learner’s details and certificate are verified and the request is formally lodged with SETA. The Services SETA certificate takes approximately 4 weeks to be reissued and reprinted.
  • Please note that LeMark accepts only written requests for re-issuing of certificates. No telephone requests will be accepted. The fee for the reissue of a certificate is R650 (VAT incl.)
Force Majeure

LeMark shall be entitled to delay or cancel delivery or to reduce the amount delivered if it is prevented from, hindered in or delayed in the provision of services through any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to strikes, lockouts accidents, war, fire, acts of God, reduction in or unavailability of power, breakdown of machinery or shortage or unavailability of materials, facilitators from normal sources of supply.

Inhouse Training Terms and Conditions
  • All these conditions as well as the ones in the official quote must be accepted by you the customer.
  • A quotation is valid for a period of 90 days as from date hereof or as specified on the quotation.
  • Prices are subject to change in supplier prices.
  • Delivery time: will be confirmed with the client when the order is placed.
  • Any deviation in specifications on the receipt of the above work will result in a corresponding alteration of the quoted price.
  • Work will not commence until a signed confirmation (acceptance quote) of order and an official order form or payment has been received.
